Hi,

I am looking for a wiring diagram for a new 2005 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab V6 4 by 4. I have looked everywhere and can't seem to find the needed diagram. I will be installing a compustar 2 way starter/alarm from my old vehicle so any info on connecting to the factory power locks, etc.. would be greatly appreciated!

12volts wht/blue (50A), wht/red (30A)  +  ignition harness
Starter GREEN/ black  +  ignition harness
Second Starter BLACK/ white  +  ignition harness
Ignition BLACK/ red  +  ignition harness
Second Ignition blue / YELLOW  +  ignition harness
Third Ignition N/A    
Accessory WHITE/ green  +  ignition harness
Second Accessory N/A    
Keysense GREEN/ black  -  ignition harness
Notes: Using the status output from the remote start to trigger this wire will disarm the factory alarm without unlocking the doors.
Power Lock purple  -  driver kick, 10 pin plug, pin 4
Notes: Meter this wire while turning the key in the driver door key cylinder.
Power Unlock GREEN/ black (double pulse)  -  driver kick, 10 pin plug, pin 8
Notes: Meter this wire while turning the key in the driver door key cylinder.

Can also use the passenger door key cylinder unlock wire, which only requires a single pulse. It is pink (-), in the passenger kick, 10 pin plug, pin 4.
Lock Motor blue/red  5wi driver kick, 12 pin plug, pin 10
Unlock Motor blue/black  5wi driver kick, 10 pin plug, pin 9
Parking Lights+ green  +  fuse box, 13 pin plug, pin 10
Parking Lights- green  -  headlight switch or BECU, pin 13
Notes: The Body ECU is attached to the back of the fuse box. It has a single 26 pin plug.
Hazards RED / white or white  -  switch or turn signal flasher,pin 10
Notes: The turn signal flasher is behind the fuse box.
Turn Signal(L) RED / black (F), blue/black (R)  +  turn signal flasher, pins 4 and 5
Notes: The turn signal flasher is behind the fuse box.

On models without daytime running lights, the blue/black triggers the front and rear turn signals.
Turn Signal(R) RED / yellow (F), blue / YELLOW(R) +  turn signal flasher, pins 2 and 3
Notes: The turn signal flasher is behind the fuse box.

On models without daytime running lights, the blue / YELLOW triggers the front and rear turn signals.
Reverse Light RED / white  +  driver kick, gray 12 pin plug, pin 1
Door Trigger GREEN / WHITE (ajar indicator)  -  instrument cluster or BECU, pin 4
Notes: The Body ECU is attached to the back of the fuse box. It has a single 26 pin plug.

The individual door trigger wires are at the fuse box. The LF door is GREEN/ YELLOW in an 18 pin plug, pin 7. The RF door is RED / black in a 22 pin plug on the back, pin 8. The rear doors are pink/black in an 18 pin plug, pin 6. Use all three wires and diode isolate each.
Dome Supervision blue  -  fuse box, black 13 pin plug, pin 9
Trunk/Hatch Pin N/A    
Hood Pin N/A    
Trunk/Hatch Release N/A    
Power Sliding Door N/A    
Factory Alarm Arm arms with lock    
Factory Alarm Disarm disarms with unlock    
Disarm No Unlock use key sense wire    
Tachometer BLACK/ white  ac  data link connector, pin 9
Notes: The data link connector is under the driver side dash.

Also found at the ECM behind the glove box, second plug from the bottom, pin 1.

How do you install the key bypass module....you need to hook up the status output wire from your remote start to the keysense wire to disable the factory alarm while remote starting.....but at the same time you also need to hook up the blue and green wire from the 556u module to the keysense wire.....how do you go about hooking all of them up at once?

Here is the deal with my problem...I have a Crimestopper CoolStart...I cannot use the (-) keysense wire because the latch output of the 556U and the status output wire from my remote start have to go on this.  I cannot hook the green wire up from the 556u to this because it thinks there is always a key in it due to the fact that it is hooked to the remote start system all the time.  On that ignition wiring harness though, there are two wires...that GREEN/ black one and another wire....does anyone know if the other wire is a (+) keysense wire since the GREEN/ black is a (-) keysense wire?  If it is that I can just hook to that.  Please help me!!

Already tried doing that...I called DEI to make sure I was using the correct diode...and yes I did install it the correct way...and it does not work at all...still does same thing..someone else had mentioned hooking a relay up to the keysense wire::

Here was what i thought was wrong with! your original installation: In the 556U, the only wires most installations need is the 12v+ and the status wire. Theres also an IGNITION wire in the harness as well. Well, from personal experience, i connected that wire to the ignition in an explorer (that required a key bypass), and the truck had a hard time starting... about every 3rd try with the ignition key. But, it would start the first try w/ the R/S. So, make sure that the ignition wire isn't powered from your 556U. a way to check this would've been to unplug the cable that plugs into the 556.

What about keysense? just interrupt the wire. True, its a GREEN/ black (-) wire. connect 12v+ to pin 85, GREEN/ black keysense wire to pin 86. connect the R/S status output to pin 30, and the 556U's status to pin 87A. what will happen is, there'll be a connection between 87a and 30 (status outputs of both products) UNTIL a key is placed in the ignition. when that happens, the status output is broken betw! een the two units, stopping the 556U from sending a code

Try doing it this way.

constant 12+ = 85
status output = 86
ground 87 to car body
556U blue wire and keysense wire GREEN/ black = 30

That way of hooking a relay up does not work....I cannot even diode isolate the status wire..the truck won't start at all...How about this idea?  If I ground the blue wire from the 556U....and hook the keysense wire to me trucks keysense wire?  would this work?  What exactly does that blue wire do?

the blue wire on the 556u will make it always transmit the rfid code fromt he key. this is not good because he car might have complications if it detects 2 signals at the same time.

are you diode isolating correctly? cathode (lined side) faces the status output wire and anode (non-lined) faces the keysense and the other diode anode faces the blue wire on the 556u
