I have a codealarm alarm system and I bought the remote start/turbo timer add on, I hooked up the wires and it doesn't work. The guys at circuit city said code's remote start wont work with my car since I have 2 ignition wires...Can someone give me a wiring diagram or some assistance? Also, I need help finding the tach wire, I think it is a RED / yellow wire in the ecm/kick panel..

Thanks a ton

-Craig

Which model Code alarm are you using?

Here's a link for your cars wiring:

ok, since the code alarm only has an output for one starter wire and the link for my car says I have 3 ignition wires, how would I hook that up? I'm confused

I found some more info on your car, apparently you need to isolate the accessory wire from the key switch when remote starting, possible feedback of some sort.

This link shows you how to isolate.

I tried looking for your alarms wiring diagram, but came up unsuccessful.

Alright, I found the tach wire and a programmed the tach, and my turbo timer works, but remote start doesn't...The guy at circuit city told me to run a wire from one ignition wire to the other and if that doesn't work, then i'm screwed...any suggestions?

make sure these task are ensured b4 RS:

hood trigger (if install)- must not see when RS
brake shutdown (+)- must not see when RS
neutral switch(-)- must see ground when RS
starter wire is to b4 place on starter side when use starter kill.

lastly, make sure youre pressing the right button.....lol....just make sure.

Three things:

1) No need to isolate the accessory wire with a relay.
2) Supply starting power to BOTH the BLACK/ white and BLACK / YELLOW wires on start. Technically only the BLACK / YELLOW (starter solenoid) is needed to start the car, but hooking up the BLACK/ white (ECU start signal) will ensure starts in cold weather.
3) Did you hook up the tach wire to the correct yellow/red wire? The ECU harness has three yellow/red wires, make sure you tapped into the right one. It should be connected to ECU pin terminal #3.

Yea, I had the wrong wire at first, but now I am 100% sure on the tach wire, since I got the turbo timer to work too. As for the ignition, they guy at circuit city told me he still had to program my alarm for remote start. I'm calling code right now to see what i should do.
