Hello, I am new to this website. I have a question that I hope someone could help me out with. I am trying to install a Remote Start/Keyless Entry system on my 2002 ZX2. I have installed the remote start but I am having trouble with the keyless entry part. I cannot for the life of me figure out what type of door lock system I have. I also cannot find anything  that looks like a door lock switch in the kick panel. If I knew what type of door lock I had I could at least go from there. Does anyone have any information on ZX2's and wiring keyless entry on them? I have found the wire color codes but I would like to know more about what I am doing before I go cutting wires. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your locks are NEG(-) trigger  they operate with a ground "pulse"   Find the grey and blue wires that look like they go thru the kick panal and into the door boot. Put your digital meter on the wire and hit the lock un-lock switch. Look for the meter to show ground. Thats how ya know ya got the correct wire!

The switch you are looking for would be on the door panal.  A lock/unlock button

If you dont have a lock switch on the door youll need to use your remote(keyless entry remote) to test the wires!

Thanks for the information. I will give it a try. I do have a switch on the door panel. I assumed that was the right switch but I wasn't sure. The wires in the kick panel are taped so tight I didn't want to undo all the wires and find out they were wrong. Thanks again.

OK, i got the right wires and i have tested the voltage and everything is wired correctly.............but.............

I can lock the doors but the unlock will not work. The wires are wired right, i have checked a dozen times. The parking lights flash and the system thinks it is unlocking the doors....what is wrong???? I am at a loss.

BTW, it is a Boa system
