I am trying to install a CrimeStopper RS900IV remote start/keyless entry system on a 1993 Nissan Maxima GXE with keyless entry (bottons on door handles). I have the locks and trunk all done, but when I start with remote, the starter just keeps on running, while the engine is already started.

My Unit has a Tachless Mode. However, when I programed it, nothing changed. So I ran a tach wire from coil, and still, no avail. The unit even confirmed that it recieved a valid tach input signal by flasing the lights twice in TachFind mode. The starter just keeps on spinning. I have installed a Bulldog starter and keyless entry before, with no problems. But this is something different. Could it be a defective unit? Any help or info would be appreciated.

I'll take a guess that you might have hooked up the starter wire as an ignition or accessory by mistake..... it couldn't hurt to go and check those connections again.

Were there any pin switches to turn OFF /ON the tachless and tach required mode ?

Do you have an option like "anti-grind mode?" If you do make sure that it is on.

You know you have the right amount of pressure when your eyes start to water! Now you've got Juice!

Thanks for all your help. I found out that the wire harness on my unit was not pluged in the right way. I assumed that if it fits, then it is the right way, like many harnesses that have the special thread so you cant plug it in wrong. Well anyways, the ACC was going to the starter and the Starter was going to the accesories. I fliped over the harness plug and it works great.
