I installed an 880 xp into my girlfriends saturn last week.  Everything seems to work except for a couple of weird things.  When the car is running (even off remote start) the controller cannot communicate with the alarm.  Also it appears that when you push any button on the keychain once and  then again, it will not get the second button press signal.  You have to wait like 10 sec before you can press it again so the brain will recognize the second key press.  This is not how it should work.  I have the same alarm and i can press any key any noumber of times with no delay in between key presses.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know where i can download or get a python 880xp installation manual?  I can't seem to find mine and I need to change some programming.  I could not find it on dei's website, all they have is the owner's manual.

I checked every wire last night and did some testing and could still not figure out what is going wrong.  Could it be possible that the remote or the brain is defective?

Is this a white remote, if it is, more than likely, it is the remote? They had a lot of problems out of the older remotes.

I can't seem to find my install guide for the python 880xp.  I had it last week, now it's gone.  My fear is that it got thrown away with all the christmas stuff.  If someone could send me a link, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks, but I just found it on dei's server.  Hey, I now have the keychain working, I think.  I opened it up and played with the two cards that plug into each other and it seems to be responding like it should.  The only thing is that now when the engine start is on, the remote can't communicate with the brain.  This also happens after you drive the car.  After you turn the car off (after driving), the remote won't work for a few minutes.  I have armed while driving enabled.  Does anyone have any ideas?

try programming your remote into her system if it works with the saturn then the remote is faulty and try it vice versa on your alarm even perhaps go as far as swapping the modules just make sure you know which one is which good luck
