Bad box? What defeat are you using or are you using a "made" one? This may help as well. Otherwise know as DEI Document 1056 incase anyone searches for it.

We have actually tried both a universal box and a home made one. It will not crank or start.

It only remote starts with the key in the ign

Thanks

Ok, does the remote start crank with the key in the ign? Also to make your own bmw defeat you will need factory parts.
