i'm planning on installing a clifford matrix rsx 3.5 into a 2001 dodge dakota r/t 5.9L.  using this forum i found the wire schedule at https://directechs.com/directwire/wire_body.asp?action=select&yr=3233&product=Security  but what my question is, has to do with the door locks.  if you notice, it has a note saying:

Power Lock WHITE/ green  -  conn. 2, pin 10 @ CTM
Notes: Lock is negative trigger thru a 820 ohm resistor. Unlock is negative trigger thru a 330 ohm resistor. MUST use relays.

so how am i to hook up a standard after market alarm to one wire with resistors???

and also, any comments on the matrix rsx 3.5?  good places to buy?

thanks for all the help!

It is simple enough. If your alarm has built in relays then you wire it to pass a negative trigger and on the lock output you put a 820ohm resistor inline and on the unlock you place a 330ohm resistor inline. If your alarm does not have built in relays then you will need to wire relays (1 for lock and 1 for unlock), pin 85 lock or unlock output from alarm, 86 +12V, 30 ground, 87 output to door locks.
