i have replaced a ford 1600 zetec engine in a ford fiesta with a 1600 dohc from an escort. to begin it went ok until full operating temp was reached then it cut out. there seems to be no spark but engine will turn over and there is power to the coil. is it possible there is an immobiliser causing the problem and how do i bypass it ?

i dont think so......it should keep the car from running at all or just for few seconds....

Swapping out the coil or the ignition module might fix your problems.
