It is basically a scytek brain with a crimestopper lcd remote. You could probably buy a scytek RS 2-way unit cheaper.. I have installed a few scytek's..seem to be decent, no frills unit. Works okay in my book. If you are into lcd remotes and 2-ways..look at the autopage RS units.. RS-720 or RS-855. I have the 855..beautiful unit..with tons of features to boot..

I was looking at the fm 2009 for a three reasons

1 mile range

2 lcd remotes

128 bucks

I work for a newspaper on long island and the press room where I work is about 3000 feet from where I park.Other people that have the viper have to walk to the halfway point of the pressroom to remote start and sometimes to the cafeteria.I a looking for a 1 mile range, 2 vibrating/melody lcd remotes,radar/motion,remote start, temp start, programed start, anti carjack.

Does anyone know of an alarm that has all the above features??

I have a window roll up and would get a glass module

Well..if you like long ranges..compustar seems to have that covered. You can look at the 2WSS series which seem to be very consistent with ranges.. I belive the 2WSS will do everything you ask for except for the radar/motion part which will be an add-on sensor.. As a matter of fact, I doubt if any aftermarket alarm/remote start has stock radar/motion built in..

DEI/Viper/Python/Clifford is not known for ranges... Personally the only other alarm I would recommend is the Autopage RS-855 LCD. I have installed a couple of those including on my personal car and the range seems to be as equal to compustar..though, I have not done any real world tests between the autopage and compustar. I know it starts my car from six blocks away..and gives LCD confirmation..good enough for me.. I also like the build quality and the numerous options it allows... BTW..the autopage does have all that you listed above in your reqs..except for radar/motion..

An alarm is only as good as its install. Any moron can claim to be an installer...and end up duct taping everything in sight, with half-assed crimps and poor wire management, siren install, and just plain sloppy attitude.. I'm not a pro-installer, just experienced enough with time and age..but, I'm sure you can find someone on here who would do the needful for you..lot of good folks here.. Shop around and ask questions..post back if you need more help..

I looked further into the FM2009 deluxe that you listed here.. There are 2 of them.. The FM-2009 and FM-2009 deluxe The FM 2009 is the scytek rebadged asianwolf unit. The FM-2009 deluxe is a crimestopper CS-2014 rebadged unit.

Crimestopper is the worst when it comes to ranges..Folks can vouch for it here.. Forget 1 mile, you might be lucky if you get a quarter (mile) I have a CS-2002 IV on a mazda protege..works fine..poor range.and the shock sensor is a bit flaky for my taste..pre-warning takes a a second or so to kick on after disturbance and a second or more for full trigger. I'm going to be switching it out with another sensor soon. Personally, I would not count on a crimestopper as a security system. In a nutshell, I would not recommend the FM-2009 deluxe.

If you are looking for a decently priced unit with range, look at the compustar 1W900FM-AS listed here I have put one of these in a Civic before..works great..good range..reliable. I recommended autopage earlier.. Look at the RS-855 model. I have a couple of those installed.. around $150-$160 for the unit..give another $150-$200 for the install.. Good luck..
