Mannix SM700 (fitted to ford escort, manual, petrol)

(1) Is it possible to reset the alarm because i want to start again with it?

(2) I cannot stop the siren from sounding no matter what i do. what can i do about that i have tried pressing buttons on the remote, the alarm brain responds but the siren just carrys on?

(3) The alarm will not remote start. the BLACK/ white wire is connected to Ground (-). what do you have to do? close all doors arm the alarm? it just chirps 3 times

I just installed one of these alarms

1.) I'm not certain if you can reset the alarm, but what are you trying to accomplish, maybe I can help

2.) Make sure that you have grounded the siren and hooked the red wire from the siren to the brown wire on the brain of the alarm

3.) Make sure that you have a good tach, and follow the procedures on page 39 "Tachometer Learning".

Does the lock / unlock work, parking light flash work ?

Do you mean white / black wire to ground ?

I have same unit and it works great, the black / white wire is a dome light output.

Did you leave the jumper in SW1 ?

For manual trannys, you have to perform a sequence before shutting off vehicle to remote start next run, see additional insert in box

Is petrol same as diesel ? Does it have a "wait to start" mode ? you may need to hook up the gray/black wire

Hi i think i have damaged the brain of the alarm because the siren seems to be stuck on and i cannot stop the siren. the alarm seems to function fine and all the wires are connected as instructed but the siren just will not stop unless you cut the wire. all the other functions work fine accept the remote start.

can i make the system reset so it returns to the condition it was when i got it?

Petrol is what the english call GAS, not diesel

Can anyone get a reply from Mannex because i can't

I have a mannix in my 2002 honda civic and it works great !!
