I have a Prestige (Audiovox) APS-685 remote start I am installing into a 2002 Chevy Silverado. I'm not sure what type of remote bypass I should purchase for it. Should I get one of those self-learning modules, or one that you just measure the rsistance value of the vehicle and set the module to that value like the HPBK-3 module? I have been thinking about the Audiovox ASGM-4 module. Is that my best choice? I need some expert advice because I don't want any problems.
Use the IPPME instead of the HPBK-3 because it's a learning bypass module. Alot less problems in the future with variable resistor values.

Who makes the IPPME, and where can I get one? Is it a better unit than the ASGM-4? I also found something called a "Pallock 2 Data InterfaceKit" or something like that, it says it is a "2 in 1 bypass" and is supposed to be "AHEAD" of it time and is the easiest to install. What's your oppinion?

IPPME is made by Trilogix ( same as the guys who make the PLDATA Interface kit ). The PLDATA kits bypass the Passlock II and VATS systems with minimal wires to hook up but is generally the exact same thing as the IPPME. The IPPME is a learning bypass module ( changes with the resistors variants with temperature changes ) and has more applications than the PLDATA does as far as compatibility goes.
