my question concerns the door lock/unlock section of the install....  i found an ORANGE / black wire that goes from +12 to 0  when i lock the door and a pink wire that goes from +12 to 0 when i unlock the door, but when i ground out the wires, the locks aren't triggered at all.  the wires i found are at the fuse panel beside the door lock relays.  I'm not quite sure how to interface the prostart door lock/unlock wires into the car so that the remote can power the locks.

i read about the 98 intrepids needing relays and resistors for the lock unlock... but i don't know about 97's

any help would be greatly appreciated,  thanks

just get them at the relays, its the top two relays bottome left pin, take the relay out, stick your wire in the hole then stick the relay back in, you will have no troubles doing that.

pop off the fuse panel and there should be three black relays on the left side, it is the top two, i cant remember which is unlock and which is lock, but i know its the top two relays, one is like half way coverered by plastic. bottom left pin, positive trigger.

argatoff is my last name

someone else actually started the install, and they didn't know what they were doing at all, so they had the entire dash ripped out pretty much

i had to finish hooking up the ignition wires and put a relay in for the trunk pop, what was done was pretty amateur...
