I've noticed that when I use the remote start (DEI 554R) on my 2004 Saturn Vue (V-6) that shortly (~10 minutes) into my drive to work (all freeway driving) the Passlock light comes on. A minute or two after that the check engine light will come on. I don't notice any difference in the performance of the engine (no surging or anything) so I don't think anything s really wrong.

Also...none of these lights come on if I do not use the remote start to start the car (use the key to start it). Like I said before, I don't think anything is wrong with the car, and I don't think it is hurting anything by the warning lights coming on...it's just kind of anoying.

Any suggestions on what might be gouing on?

It's a Valet 554R (made by DEI)...just so theres no confusion posted_image

And the bypass that you used would be? Perhaps there is a problem with your bypass.

what wires did you use to trigger the 555L and trigger the keysense wire in the vehicle?
