Car: 2003 Honda Accord with +12V Trunk Release Wire

Do I need to cut the trunk release wire to hook it up to the relay or can I just tap the +12V directly into the wire?

In the Viper 790XV booklet it shows four wire hook ups, whats the "switched trunk release wire", to my knowledge I only need the +12V and position 30 on the relay should be +12V Constant, I'm I correct??

Thanks,
Omar

On a trunk release I would give it a good solid HIT.........use a relay

no you do not need to cur the trnk release wire to hook it up. just use a relay to "switch" a 12v (+) to activate it.

w/ a relay wire it in this fashion:
85-RED / wht H1
86-12v constnat
30-12v constant
87- |TRNK/HTCH RELEASE|YELLOW /GREEN        |+ |driver kick, harness to rear|

if need trunk pin:
| TRUNK/HATCH PIN|blue/black          |- |driver kick, harness to rear|
blue wire H1 zone 4
