I'm installing a Prestige Platinum APS-996a on a 2004 Cadillac Escalade this weekend.  I just wanted to put some feelers out there to see if there's any particular information I should know.

I'm going to use the DEI 555L or DEI 555T for the Passlock II.  In addition, I'm not familar with the DEI 456G for the locks, but wanted to get some recommendations.  Has anyone use this module before.  Let me know what you experience has been.

Any additional recommendations regarding the vehicle would be helpful also.

Please advise, and thanks in advance.

You definatly want to use the 456G, without it the door locks SUCK BIG!!!

The 456G uses the data wire @ the OBD2 connecter under the dash. It allows your remote start unit to "talk" to the BCM.....KooL

Heres a link to the tech sheet from DEI.

use the 555L its way better than the 555T.  and the 456G is easy to install.  power, ground, purple wire to purple wire in OBD2 connector, gray/black wire to gray/black door trigger wire in BCM and blue and green wires to blue and green lock wires on the alarm..its easy as that!
