I am doing a self installation of a Viper 790XV and 555C into my 2003 Dodge Ram 2500.

I was thinking of connecting the 451M module and resistors to the factory alarm arm/disarm wire. This would allow both arm/disarm as well as Lock/Unlock from the same wire.

My question is do I need to disarm the factory alarm when using remote start?

If so I guess I would need to connect the 451M module and resistors to lock/unlock wire? Then use another set of relays and resistors to connect the H2/2 to the arm/disarm wire?

Thanks Bwc

better question:

Should the 451M module be connected to the factory arm/disarm wire or should it be connected to the lock/unlock wire and another set of relays used for the factory arm/disarm wire.

Thanks Bwc
