thats right... be able to reflash the bcm on passlock2 vehicle's.. for whatever resistence you want... .. first with door open attempt to crank the put key back to ign. security light should stay on for 10min. as soon as it goes off. turn key all the way off. then repeat process. on your 4th attempt the vehicle will reflash the bcm with new resistence and it will start.,...if you ever need to do it ..plus its way kool info..

I agree. The resistance should never change, if it does then your connections are bad. Also this isn't the only way to do this.

NO NO.. YOU GOT ME WRONG...  lost keys..?????  swapped motors. and bcm's???? and yes you can reflash with a scanner.. but not everyone has a modis.. i dont.. .. ok had a guy with an iroc camero/... and put in a 99 z28 motor.. kept old steering column.. so passlock2 bcm.. but wrong key and column.... .....see where this info can come in handy????

Lost keys? The resistance is built into the key cylinder not the key. Not that this isn't useful for some people but I know installers who take this info the wrong way and completely bypass passlock using this tip. Oh and the other ways don't involve a gm tech2, scanner.

Also technically I wouldn't think of this as "reflashing" the bcm, more of resetting the bcm. Reflash makes me think that you are reprogramming the board.
