I recently attempted to install a Code Alarm CDI-400 on a 2004 Chevy Silverado. Everything seemed to go fine with the install of the remote start itself. To control the doorlocks I also installed a Directed 456G module. I followed the instructions and connected all the wires i needed to except for the (-) status input / (-) Keyless programming wire. First I connected this wire to ground for programming and I got a double door lock cycle as expected. Then the instructions say to connect this wire to the remote start output of the remote start system. I assumed this meant the active output wire on the CSI-400 which the Passlock II module was also connected to. After doing this the door locks still do not respond to the remote and now the remote start cranks the engine but it will not start. Any suggestions on what I may have done wrong?

I dont know any of those products so I am a little confused, but one thing you should do is diode isolate that (-) out when running wire when connecting two seperate devices.
Before working on the doorlock interface, work on the remote start feature and get that working first. Then worry about the doorlocks. This way if the rS is working and then you hook up the doorlock interface and the RS stops working you know you are doing something wrong.

you have to hook up the status input... and as mentioned diode isolate if your unit only has 1 status ( GWR ) output.....
