hey i am a new member i have an `85 mr2 and i recently bought a central locking kit and simple alarm from ebay

installed the central locking no problem but ive had issues with the alarm

currently it is hooked up to turn signals, starter motor cutout relay is in and operating correctly, brake wire connected and central locking interface is connected and is working.

the problem is that every time the alarm is set it goes off 10 seconds later. I had the alarm hooked up to the ignition wire but read that the central locking could be confusing it so i removed that wire, same problem. neither of the -ve door triggers are hooked up and ive tried grounding and putting them to 12v but neither of these have corrected the problem. Also the alarm seems to auto alarm itself despite me removing the jumper switch - however im not sure whether it is hardwired to behave like this

ive also turned the shock sensitivity wayyyy down and even unplugged it for a bit

i cant think of any other way the alarm could be recieving a defective intrusion signal do u guys have any ideas?!

thanks in advance been stuck for a few days!
