I was wondering if you know whether this was a self-built system or something that someone makes... my friend's security system is set up so he can punch in a special code under the dash and leave the engine running. However, if anyone steps on the gas pedal, the engine will shut down and be unstartable until the code is re-entered.

Most remote starts are set up so when you go into continuous run, if someone hits the break, the engine dies.

Astroflex  has the protection of the tach as well, when it reaches 3000rpm it dies (without the key in)
