i just installed a commando 5005  on my 92 lumina and it came with a blue led scanner free. it has 3 wires: yellow, red and black. how do i hook it up so that it will come on when i arm the alarm or it arms itself and go  off on disarm?

are the colors as follows ?

yellow - constant

red - acc or ign

black - ground

Then put yellow and red to a constant 12v, and the black to the ground when armed output from the alarm. Make sure you find out the current rating of the scanner and you grounded when armed, because you may need to add in a relay for the ground when armed.
