So I saw this "Univeral Remote Start Interface" at Wal-Mart. On the back of the package there was a list of 100+ vehicles that this one module would be compatible with. I had a pretty good laugh but does anyone know about these things? Has anyone used one of these? And can it actually be interfaced properly with all of these different cars? I couldn't tell exactly what the application was because of the packaging. But for $29 cdn I was just wondering.

Well all remote starts are pretty much universal, with the exception of being able to be used on a diesel. It will not include anything vehicle specific like an immobilizer bypass.

This "Interface" that i saw wasn't a remote starter, it was a bypass module, I think anyways. It was about the size of a 556U and had like a 7 pin harness with it, from what I could see anyways.
