Hello All. I have just installed the Compustar 2wss-as on my 2003 350Z and have most of it complete. Need help locating the tachometer line exactly. I know it on any ignition coil and not black or WHITE/ blue. I have tested wires with a volt meter and not found one with power the varies. Also is there a link to the Emergency brake up near the dash? Last issue, at this point it will lock the doors fine but will not unlock the doors. I ran the wires inside the driver's door and when I ground the wire, it locks. I have isolated the door switches with diodes also. Thoughts?

I will also be glad to help with what I have learned. I placed the antenna by the review mirror (not where the recommend) and the range is still over a block away with the car in a garage. This alarm is amazing and I'm not even done. Thanks in advance.

Most simple way for the tachometer is the instrument cluster..try there.. also try the cruise control switch on the steering wheel.might be easier first.. Don't rule out the OBDII connector either..

Unlock wire is a double pulse for that car..lt.blue in drivers door..program your compustar to double pulse..

Asking for emergency brake, I'm assuming it is a manual transmission. You might have to rig a position switch in there.. or..try tapping into it at the instrument cluster as well if there is a brake indicator lamp.. I'm looking at the Factory service manual for the 350z.. don't see any mention of a switch.. Good luck.
