Howdy
does anyone know where the coil is ,,,I'm looking for the neg side on the coil for an input on a remote starter
It's a 2000 mercury grand marque(spelling?)

The easiest place to get a tach wire on this car is, on the pass. side under hood. The BIG plastic cover over the intake, get under that towards the firewall......get a GREEN / WHITE at a coil. If you find it, its with a red wire too.

Its a tuff one.

Also at the PCM under hood, drivers side of the master cyl.  WHITE/ pink   this one I don't know about!

I think I found The wire but that's not the problem,,,,,,all the diagrams I look at for this car says that it doesn't have anti-theft but I see a light blinkin on the top of the dashboard near the windshield,,,,,,,,,,,,,It's a 2000 mercuy grand marquie (park avenue),,,,,,I have a universal learning bypass but I can't seem to find the right color wires in the steering collum,,,,,,,,any suggestions?????

Hi Guys

I'm tryin to install a rem start on a 2000 merc grand marquie,,,,all the diagrams I look at say no but it won't start with the rem,,,,I see a blinkin light on the top of the dashboard near the windshield,,,I have a universal learning bypass but can't seem to find the right color wires in the steering collum

any suggestions

I use the PKF-1 on these cars. They are from bypasskits.com. They are easy to program and hook up. There are four different connectors for the these ford or mercurys... the instructions for the bypass show all four and what the wires are to hook up the module.. Your cars connector should be down to the right of the steering colume over towards the where all the wires go towards the radio and center of the dash.. Hope this helps

Yeah the only universal bypass I would trust would be the kind that you put the spare key in.
