i have a 97 blazer with a viper 550esp that i just installed. when i remote start my blazer and them lift up on the door handle while it is locked shouldn't the car turn itself off?

when i lock, unlock , or remote start my blazer, my car beeps at me for a few seconds. you know the noise when you leave your keys in the ignition with the door open or your lights on. is it suppose to do this?

No. The door trigger doesn't shut the r/s off. It has to time out, rev, hood open, or press on the brake to shut down.

Is it the car's door open chime or the alarm's siren that beeps? It sounds like something is either wired into the keysense wire or an ign is staying powered for some reason. Wierd though.

its prolly just from the parking lights flashing. it makes a sound like you left them on while the car was off.

Yeah, any car will beep the waning chime in the dash whenever the parking lights flash. But usually this doesnt bother most people because they are NOT IN THE CAR WHEN THEY ARM IT OR REMOTE START IT!
