i have the door lock unlock working but it says with 3 flashes that i have a zone problem . it says to hook green to door - trigger to door pin neg which i believe is the purple wire in drivers door kick panel and is landed there. the shock sensor is installed.all the doors when opened one at a time sound alarm.what am i missing? also remote start will not work .i have a n c 30 relay wired inline of the starter yellow wire with the 12v pos off of battery to one side and the orage   - armed output to the other side. i put the violet starter wire from the remote start to the ign side of the relay.when i push the remote start button the accesory wire comes on but not the start. i have the blue hood pin wire to the white brake wire with the yellow also from the remote. thoughts? thx in advance. this is on a 2000 gmc savanna

now all i need to know is the starter kill relay powered from any 12 + source or does it have to be from the ign power and does it matter which side i connect the violet wire from the remote start brainbox to the relay?

if you use a pre wired relay it will get 12 volts from the starter wire itself, key side of course. you can do that to. if your relay is not pre wired, or you can tap into a 12 volt constant at the ignition switch.

your gmc has a second ignition wire that has to be powered up its a pink/ white wire or white. first ignition is pink. and your stater wire is yellow. post the wires on you rs unit, color codes.

ok thx. here goes  . i have the starter wire yellow going through the relay's n c contacts. i have the 12+constant power from ign wire ahead of the key.. i need to know which side of the nc contacts the violet starter wire from rs goes. i dont think it matters but not sure. the wire colors are as follows violet=starter, orange=accessory,yellow=ignition1,brown=ign2 is needed  thisone i dont have wired do i need to wire it? red==12+input,red=12+input         blue =hood pin or extra light switch+when brake is applied  yellow=connect to brake light switch +when brake is applied

violet goes to your vans yellow starter wire

orange goes to your vans orange wire acc.

yellow goes to your vans  pink wire

brown goes to your pink/white wire or white on your van, yes you need this wirehooked up.

red of course is 12 volt constant

blue wire is a negative input because it is grounded when your hood pin engages

yellow receives a 12 volt input when your brake pedal is depressed.

so the violet doesnt matter which side of the relay? also the hood pin can be connected to the same wire as the yellow going to the brake peadl? i will try all this on thurs . thx

no. your pin switch is negative input while your brake wire is a  positive input. tour pin and brake inputs have to be independant from each other. violet wire of the rs goes after  the kill relay or also called the starter side.

you have to install a pin switch in the engine bay then run your wire through the fire wall.use an existing wire grommet, saves time.

maybe it can be programed to receive 12 volts or a ground input.something like a positive or a negavitve door trigger.
