My keyless entry system for my 2001 Jeep Cherokee just went out. I replaced the batteries and nothing happened when i used it so I assumed it was the keyless entry unit itself. I bought a new unit for $45.00 at the local chrysler dealer and did not want to wait the two weeks they said it would take to get in and have it programmed. Is there any way I can do this myself? I looked at similar posts and saw one for the 2000 jeep cherokee but this did not work. I followed everything to a T but nothing happened. The only thing I did not understand was "point the keyless entry system at the transmitter". Where is the transmitter? Your response will be overly welcomed!

Thanks, Jeff G.
