I purchased a Persuit/Prestige remote starter for a 1999 Vehicross. The factory service manual doesn't have information on the factory alarm wiring. The wiring info on this site only lists a factory disarm wire. Does the DEI or another wiring database list a factory arm wire?

Thanks,
Tad

Im guessing it arms with lock!

Thank you. I'll try that again, but in my initial test it didn't arm with lock. Apparently the Vehicross uses an alarm unlike other Isuzus, it's an alarm that Toyota used. It has a high-pitched chirp for lock/unlock and uses the horn for the alarm alert.

Thanks again,
Tad

Mayby you have to pulse the door trigger at the same time.

Does it say how to arm the system in the owners manual?  Usually it will tell you ...."using the key fob..."  "....or by opening the door and hitting the lock button on the door panel...."

which is the case in most GM vehicles...

The alarm manual is online:
https://www.tonemonday.com/storage/vehicross_alarm_manual.pdf

It lists the only two ways to arm the system are via the key fob, or with passive arming.

I'm thinking that it might be easier to ebay this unit and buy an alarm/rs combo unit rather than working with the factory alarm.
