Dei seems to be changing their products around every year. Valet is dicontinuing the 554R and now Hornet is back with the 564T. What is the difference between the 554R and the 564T?

From what I can tell, the 564T is just an updated model with the new micro sattalite relays as opposed to that relay block that the 554t/r had.  the only reason i know this is that i just installed a 564T and have a couple questions myself

from what i can tell the 564t is just an updated model with the micro relay sattelite pack as opposed to the older block of relays making it easier to conceal and whatnot.  i only saw this as i was going to buy a 554r and instead got the 564t and installed it over the weekend.

i have a couple of quesitons i have to post myself in a little bit

564t is the same platform as the viper 560xv.

554 was the old viper 550esp

DEI is attempting to make everything cross-connectable.....all models will use the same relay packs and they reduced the Responder series to ASK from FSK so that all the 2 ways will use the same antenna, etc.... now you can go three ways ( good, better, best ) and only change the CPU module.....

should make upselling a guy later on a breeze.....    just like the AM 2 ways and the old Viper product right now....... to upgrade from a 550 Viper to the AM 2 way you unplug and replace the brain and replace the antenna and you're done.... new system installed.... takes 20 minutes......
