Hi i just bought an Carbine 4600 plus car alarm . I started to install it yersterday and today when i have finished all my connexions the alarm would'nt work properly . So i read my installation manual all over again and i found a little warning that i haven't seen the first time . Here it is :
Warning do not plug the 10 pin or 5 pin wire harness into alarm control module before you begin installing the alarm. The wire harness must be plugged intoalarm control module after all connexions are made.Faillure to follow this procedure could cause some confusion with transmitter operation or alarm function operation .
So the wire harness was plugged in before the begin of the installation . It's probably the cause of my problem ? So what I do to correct it ? Can i reset the transmitter or the transmitter is bad because of the non respect of the warning ?
And i know that my english is very bad !
Sounds like you should give carbine tech support a call for that one.
Define would not work properly first. What is it doing and what is it not doing ? unplug the alarm brain and let it sit for a while..then do a master reset and reprogram all remotes that you have. post back with results.
All i can do with the alarm is to put in in valet mode ! I can't do nothing else .I can't arm the alarm, the remote won't work,I can't start the alarm siren . I can do nothing but enter the valet mode .If i try to arm it it doesn't work .I think that i would call a technician from carbine ...
