I have a compustar remote start and what looking for some help with installing a CM3000 in a honda civic ex coupe. I have some of the wires figured out, but and confused with the door lock/unlock. I also have been wondering if i need to buy anything extra to bypass the clutch. If anyone has any help on DIY for a 96-2000 honda civic please let me know. I would greatly appreciate any help! Thanks Dutton

Clutch bypass? No. You must, well, I shouldn't say it, but, trick the clutch safety switch... Everytime the clutch is depressed, a signal is sent to the ignition (Clutch depressed, car starts, clutch not depressed, no car start). Fool the ignition into thinking that the clutch is depressed, and you are in businees. Just make sure that you always park your car in neutral.

Just remember the first time you leave it in gear will be the last time, especially if somebody is standing in front of it. I wouldn't suggest that ya do it.

The compustar cm3000 is designed for a manual transmission so that it must be set in reservation mode in order to be remote started, so there is no way to leave it in gear if you want to remote start it. I looked into this before I bought the rs because I have heard so many horror stories. If anyone can help me with my install of my alarm/rs on my 2000 honda civic ex coupe please let me know. thanks Dutton
