Have an 05 RSX type S.

I did a search on his topic and lots of people seem to have issues with these. I'm thinking it's all install problems with their wiring. So here's my question- The RSX does not come with 1 touch sunroof. Would it be better to use a 530T for both the sunroof and door windows vs. the 529T. for the sunroof. I have a 791xv viper. I have 3 open channels plus the neg when armed orange wire to close 'em up when I arm the car. Does the 529T have auo close functionality?

I already have the window wire info and can properly use a DMM. Just looking for tech help on the dei modules.

Thanks Guys

i have used both modules and the only difference between the two is that the 530t can wind the windows up and down and it also has a few different settings via dip switches so you can change the current cut off point, meaning if your windows are a bit old and find it hard to wind up the 530t can push the winow longer were as the 529t will just cut off and the window stays open. i have never done a sunroof closure but have done a lot of research into it the fact that your sun roof closes in stages could make this hard try a search for sunroof closure and see if anyone has the same type of closing as you do allot of cars share the same type of circuitry good look!

I plan to wire mine the same way.  I also have one touch open and close on sunroof.  The key is wiring it at the motor (which is 2x the pain of woring it at the switch), but then you may run into the situation where the sunroof closes and then VENTS.  if you do, check out this thread:

These guys seem to have figured out a work around to the full, two step closure issue.  I'll be installing my sunroof module in another week or so.  Waiting for a nice day so that I can "enjoy" doing it.  ;)

There is one more difference between the 530T and 529T.

WIth the 530T, if you do a pulse, then an immediate arm, you can arm the alarm and still have the windows down. Why would you want this? I think that answer is different for everyone. For me, I would go to my local park just to play some ball or hang out. My car would be about 100ft away from me in plain view. I would want the windows down and sometimes the sunroof open because it was a hot day, but I would also want the windows down so it wouldnt get too hot inside the car. You cant do this with the 529T, unless they have recently changed them.

And like extreme said, you have the dipswitches on the NEWER 530T's to help you out with those heavier or older windows. I personally have a 530T wired to my sunroof for better control.
