I have been searching and researching Remote Starts for about the last 18 months (to install in 1999 Chevy Lumina LTZ sedan)and keep coming back to the Astrostart line. Recently they came out with a new model (2205) that has the RS and alarm functions together (which is what I am looking for). I wanted to know if anyone has any information on that model (pricing, wiring/programming diagrams, etc) and location of a dealer. I am in VA near DC, and find dealers who ONLY want to sell it installed and I (having installed car, home alarms and 2-way equipment for years) have a pretty good knowledge of +/- current. posted_image If someone could give me their thoughts, installation information, and/or prices (if they sell them out the door) I would be sincerely grateful. THANK YOU!

The 2205 is a stand alone, 2way remote start (no security)  It will control your factory security.  If you find someone stupid enough to sell it to you over the counter(not installed) you get NO WARRANTY, and you cant get any tech support from astroflex. Plus if they sell it to ya and get caught by the product rep.....there done sellin astroflex.

Its a GREAT product....if you get one, make sure you get a passlock override module made by astro....it plugs in!

Also the 2205 only comes with 1 transmitter
