Hola a todos!!!Hi everybody!
I already installed a viper 550 on a Ford Explorer Sport '01
everything is fine the litlle problem i have is when the car start you'll hear like the cranking time if to long something like if you holding the key for 2 second after the car have been stared you know that kind of sound.
do you thing if I change the cranking time gonna help?
also how you can change the crank time after you get to the menu 3.5 of the alarm?

Yeah, change that time down. This should clear that problem up for you.

What color and location did you use for the tach wire hook up ? Just curious as this may also be your problem.

The crank time setting only has effect when the unit is set to voltage sense mode.  And voltage sense usually sucks.  You'll adjust it so it's perfect in the summer, and then the car won't crank long enough to start when it gets cold.

Anyway, whatever tach wire you used, I'd say to try another one and see if it gets better.  Try an injector and see how it goes then.

This car is should be Tan / YELLOW or any tan on the multipack coil,but how my DMM gonna read when I test this wire if they said this kind of car are les then 12 volt?
I don't know!!!!!!please does someone know how exactly can I find this Tach wire?????????

It should read between 1-6 volts AC.
