I have a 1997 Mustang Cobra Convertible.  When I lock my car up, the theft light on the dash will go stationary and then disappear instead of flashing.  When I open the car door, it will flash.  Is this a problem with my sensors and is there a place on the web to get a diagram of where the sensors are?

the factory alarm is armed after the theft light goes out.  roll the window down and open it from the inside after the light goes out and its armed.  the alarm should go off unless you didnt wait long enough.  if it doesnt then you know youve got problems.  dont know about any sensors except door, hood, and trunk triggers on those so i cant say for sure if it has any or not.  for a nice car like that though you would be better off with a nice aftermarket system.

no sensors except trunk pin and door pins. (did alarms for ford dealer) if you use your key in the door it disarms the factory alarm, so like said earlier reach in and open the door with the handle.
