I have installed a remote starter on my 03 jeep wrangler.  I had it programmed for the tachless option, it starts fine but shuts off after 4-5 miniutes of running, even after programming for 15 minute run time.  I talked to the manufacturer (Code Alarm) and they said on my model vehicle I have to connect the tach wire because of a voltage drop after running.  After that has happened the system errors out (three flashs) and has to be reset to start again.  I had no luck finding the elusive, grey/white wire (as listed on this and other forums as the correct wire) at the coil and the injector wires did not show the tach indications with a DVM.  I talked to a jeep dealership and they said there is no tach wire, it is all included in the control modul wiring, and this is why Chysler doesn't make a remote start for this vehicle.  That sounds strange to me, but they know best :)

Can anyone give me a physical location where I might find a tach wire?  I'm tired of jabbing wires looking for the correct indicators.

If your RS shuts off before timing out, you may have another issue other than Voltage Sensing.
I have used the ODD color Injector wire for Tach signal.  Not sure how your meter reads, but signal should be strong enough for your RS

I haven't hooked it up yet but the blu/tan wire appears to be the one.  Thanks
