Just bought a Hornet remote start alarm sistem (DEI), to be installed in a 2004 Toyota Highlander, does anybody have a complete wiring diagram ??? Also do I need a PKT ?? thanks before hand

Notes:
*This vehicle is equipped with a Transponder Anti-Theft security system. Use Universal Alarm Bypass Module . **This car has two start wires that have to be connected for the vehicle to start when the engine is cold. The second start wire is Black(+). ***The key sense wire will measure 12 volts all the time till you place the key inside the ignition switch and the key sense wire will ground.

Yes, you do need a bypass.------------- Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.

actually sometimes on Toyotas you dont have to use a transponder bypass. if you power up the keysense wire, it will disarm the factory alarm and remote start. this doesnt work on all models but sometimes it will, ive done it a few times. try that first before you buy a bypass and give up a key.

YOU WILL GET MORE DASH LIGHTS THAN AN AIRPLANE c**kPIT!
went through this already.......toyota scan tool saw the fault. we re-connected the starter wire that was disconnected via a relay and the problem went away.

You re-connected the starter wire via a relay....................... what else would you use ? Sorry, not trying to be sarcastic, but I'm not sure what the problem was if you cut the starter wire, the only reason would be for a starter disable relay, would it not ??? ------------- Jeff

You will need an immobilizer on this model. Do a search on e-bay for a 555 for Lexus/toyota or you can do a search and a bunch of sites will come up. If you can't find one PM me through the site an I'll name a few. You should be able to get the locks in the passenger kick for all doors and in the dirver kick for progressive if your RS/Alarm supports it. Good Luck ------------- Jeff
