i recently installed a 1993 viper 300 car alarm. is this a code learning transmitter/receiver ? dei's web site gave me a code learning sequence, but  the article assumes i have a momentary push button for the valet. it actually came with an on/off switch for the valet. sorry this unit is so old, but i sure would really appreciate a reply from someone with experience with this early 90's unit.

Just use the ON/OFF switch like it was momentary switch. Flick the switch over temporarily as this will do the same thing as pressing the button.
