Hi I am new to this sort of thing.  I have put in car stereos without factory harnesses, amps, and capacitor's.  So i am not totally car dumb, but when it comes to putting the viper 350 hv alarm in my 92 honda civic lx I am stupid.  I have read the installation guide over and over and it is like latin to me.  Is there any one out there that can explain it in english?  I understand about the ignition wire and kinda understand about the keyless entry part but when it comes to the diodes and resistors i am lost .  I mean where and how do you install them? Do i have to use the kill start feature of my alarm?  Thanks for your time.  Please respond if you know how to do this.   Oh yeah this will be my first alarm.  Thanks for any imput you may have to helping me.

Here's the diagram for your car, you won't need any diodes or resistors

hi i am trying to install my first alarm and i have a wiring diagram of my 92 honda civic lx.  Usually i would pay some one to do this but money is tight cause i am expecting a new baby. Plus i really want to do this my self.  I have taken a weeks vacation off of work to do this and i'll be pretty upset if i can't figure it out before i have to go back to work.  Well with that all being said is there any pro installers out there that can explain the installation process for a viper350hv alarm in english.  You don't have to be a pro installer just someone who knows more about installing alarms than i do, so that could be any one. lol.  I am reading the install manual that came with my alarm and mentions h1/2 and h1/12 what the heck are they talking about.   Please if you have the knowledge and time to simply explain this process to me in some detail I would be very greatful,  and if you are in columbus ohio and want to come over and help i'd buy you a twelve pack (to drink when you got home).  Thanks

What they are referring to is the individual wire harnesses that came with the alarm. The manual should help identify the harness they are referring to. example--- h1/2 would be harness 1 wire 2. Just take your time and do one at a time and double check every wire with a DMM to make sure its the correct one. Also you should have a tech for your vehicle if you do a search on this site for your vehicle you should find one. Good-Luck.

You took a week off from work so you could save the $100 you would pay to have it installed?

Do you have a tech sheet on your car already?

If not, these are the wires you need to tap into:

12volts      white        +       brn conn abv fusebox
Starter      BLACK/ white        +       brn conn abv fusebox
Ignition      BLACK / YELLOW        +       brn conn abv fusebox

Power Lock      GREEN / WHITE        -       in drivers door
Power Unlock      GREEN/ red        -       in drivers door
Notes: Door lock module in door above the speaker. the wires can also be found at the anti-theft if equiped.

Parking Lights+      RED / black              grn plug top of f-box
Door Trigger      lt GREEN/ red        -       driver kick panel
Trunk/Hatch Pin      grn/blk 2 silv dots        -       blu conn above fusebox

h1/2 and h1/12 stand for harness 1 - pin 1 and harness 1 - pin 12. Look at the pages in the install guide where it shows the pin layout of the harnesses. You will see the pins labeled with h1/2 and so on.

You are going to need to ask more specific questions.

i think this is what your looking for?
you should use a digital multimeter to verify all wires before tappin into them just to be sure.
             car                  alarm harness
12volts      white        +       red
Starter      BLACK/ white        + (cut starter wire in half
                                   green from alarm goes
                                   to key side of wire,
                                   black to stater half)
Ignition      BLACK / YELLOW      + yellow
Power Lock      GREEN / WHITE     - green (lock harness)
Power Unlock      GREEN/ red     -   blue (lock harness)
Parking Lights+      RED / black      white
Door Trigger      lt GREEN/ red -   green (main harness)
TrunkPin   grn/blk 2 silv dots -   blue (main harness)
note the difference of blue and green wires from the mail harness and "lock" harness

if not using the kill relay it kindda defeats the purpose of having an alarm. what exactly do you not understand. ask questions get answers. the 350hv is a very basic install.

try going here for a rough idea on what is involved in your installation. There is a tutorial on there. Look that over because it might be helpful. You picked a pretty advanced system to put in for your first install, I'll tell you that much. Good Luck.

can anyone tellme what this is and what exactly it connects to it's for a viper 350hv. Well i tried to copy the pic from my pc but it was to many kb's.  So i will describe it to you.  It is a black box thing that has an orange wire and a yellow wire that goes into it from my 12 pin wiring harness.  Then it has a thick black and a thick green wire that comes out of it.  It looks like some kind of relay but i don't really know what for.  Any info would help

that is the starter kill relay i descibed the wiring on that above, allthough i can see how you would be confused. green goes to the half of the starter wire that leads to the key. black goes to the other half. yellow goes to the igniton wire (BLACK / YELLOW, reads 12v with key on and about 10 when cranking the engine)

just left in positive because your parking lights are positive you can find the wire at the fuse box is RED / black or use the male in the fuse box. posted_image

yes the brown wire sends positive so you have to do a relay and program the brain for pulse.
