i was getting false alarms-so i disconnected the horn and siren and now when i use remote start it starts fine but shuts off in about 10 seconds.question--if removing siren is causing the problem can i hook up something {resistor} to siren wire to fool the brain.ps 1997 jeep grand cherokee. thanks steve

Instead of disconnecting the horn and siren, have you reduced the sensitivity of the shock sensor a little?  It is two dials right on the front of the sensor unit.
