ProStart CT-3160M, 1991 Honda Civic Hatchback DX

I have a "ProStart CT-3160M" remote starter by "Autostart", and the directions state in their FAQ,
"Q: Do both door trigger wires on the 9-pin harness have to be connected? A: No, only one of the 2 trigger
wires must be connected, or the unit will not enter ready mode."

My question is this: I don't have automatic locks (manual). Will this unit work on my car? Can I bypass the
trigger wires issue somehow, or do I have to buy another model?

Sorry, it just dawned on me that my car may be of importance due to the factory options wiring.
I own a 1991 Honda Civic Hatchback DX.

listen you door trigger is somethign that trigger the alrm when the door is opend it also triggers dome light and know you dont have to have both connected since you have a hatch back but you do have to connect the one that is labeld door trigger , one wire will be a door trigger pos and on will be a door trigger neg you have to see weather you door trigger wire puts out a negative or possitive signal when the trigger is opened meaning when you open the door does the doort trigger wire put out a pos or negative if it puts out possitive than you will have to use the possitive trigger wire, if negative  etc make sure cause this wire will  tell the alarm alot and it will also trigger the alrm to activate after ignition is turned off and a door is opened than closed again also this is needed to activate passive arming and pasive locking in the alarm module. . if the hatch has its own wire you can use either two neggative trigger wires  or if it is pos you will have to diode them out and connect them together , just make sure you have door trigger on the door trigger vise versa will not work.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

Hey mricard, the door trigger and the door lock wires are totally different wires. The door trigger monitors the doors when armed and the door lock wires are for locking and unlocking the doors.
