I just purchased a 1998 Subaru Forester S that has everything except remote keyless entry. I was told that since it's got power locks, it would be easy to install a keyless entry system.
My question is: How difficult actually is it to install a remote stater / keyless entry system? I'm looking at a cheap option, Directed Electronics 265B Remote Start System with Keyless Entry. Are the right connections hard to find (and reach), or is it pretty easy?

If your mechanically inclined and have a basic knowledge of DC electricity and auto electronics then you should be able to handle it.

Thanks for the encouragement! Would it be easier to buy the Subaru keyless model part so that it's more plug and play, or can I save the $50 and get the part listed above and still handle it?
I've got a pretty solid basic knowledge and don't feel intimidated by doing this, but I just didn't want to take on something to big and get overwhelmed.
Thanks again for your replies!
