Hi, Im looking to purchase an Autopage RS-720LCD Remote Alarm System.  I notice it works on AM Freq.  Does anybody know what kind of range this will yield?  I see a lot of the FM Systems claiming ~ 3000FT, and I was wondering if the AM Freq band 433 is comparable in range?

Also, does anybody have any experience with this alarm quality?

Thanks in Advance....

Rich

Go with the RS-855.. Far better FM unit with a great range..better looking remotes..a lot more programmable options. Should be around $150-170 for a unit..give or take a few greenbacks..

Autopage is pretty much what I install (when I do install) they have been around for a long time. Originally iwata electronics, now audivox owned, I think it is one of the most solid built units..similar to the likes of DEI, Omega, or Code Alarm (questionable of late) I'm used to them so it is easy for me to say and be opinionated. I like the 2-way remotes, compact, clean design.. Easy to decipher. Comes with pager sensor, temp sensor. also the option for a neutral safety switch (handy in manual transmission installs with neutral sensor) Besides, it plays nice with aftermarket modules...and their manuals are well written. I have not used tech support yet..never needed it. So, I can't comment on that part. Besides..the best tech support is here..;) good luck with your purchase.
