I have a 2004 F150 and the range on the key fob sucks! I have to be almost right next to my truck to unlock/lock it. I hear the alarm is made by Code Alarm. Does anyone have any suggestions for increasing the range I am getting? Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the system so i can locate an antenna and extend it or something? Thanks, Scott

oh and by the way. I know the whole "holding it up to your chin" thing. That's not what I am looking for. I am looking for a REAL solution to this prob.

Change the battery in the fob...... you should get about 50 ft of range....

If it says 30 feet or whatever in your owner's manual and it's not giving you that after changing the battery, then take it to the dealer and tell them to fix it or replace it. You just paid 30 some odd thousand dollars for a new vehicle. I'm certain they can come up with a solution.

Find the brain of the alarm and move the antenna, should just be a small black wire. If it is bound up with power wires it will decrease the range.

I've checked out the brain before and I didn't see any wires that stood out as being an antenna wire. I'll check it out again when I get a chance. I was wondering if someone had this problem or did know the wiring diagram of the alarm so I could find the antenna wire. I do get about 30 ft. which sucks in my opinion! I am used to getting like at least 1-200 ft. That's Y I am looking for some kinda tweak to increase the range I am getting.
