I am installing an alarm in my 95 accord, and I am trying to locate the dome light wire. I found the BLACK/ white wire in the molex to the right of the steering coulum, but when I use the dmm on it, I read constant 12V regardless of whether the door is open or closed, and the dome light is on or off. I think it must be the wrong wire, but there is no other BLACK/ white wire in that area. Help

What you can do is pull down your dome light it should be held in by two screws..and see what color wires you have there and look for them in a grey plug on the right side of the steering column

Thanks for the advice. I found the two wires, and one of them is the BLACK/ White wire that I'm allready tapped into. The other wire is a WHITE/ Blue wire, but it isnt in the grey connector. For the alarm, I need to connect the "dome light supervision" wire and the "negative door trigger" wire. Where should I connect these?

Negtive Door Trigger is for car that uses ground or negtive switches at the doors .. Most all alarm offer 2 door trigger wires .. one for postive door trigger and other for negtive door trigger .. you just use one of the either wire depending on what type of setup your car door switch uses .. Dome Supervisor light wire should be connect to a relay switch and the relay switch is connected to your dome light ..

I attatched the negative door trigger wire from the alarm to the BLACK/ White dome light wire in the plug. Still no luck. The alarm wont register that the door is open. I have not connected the dome light supervisor, do I need to? Thanks

The down fall to hooking it up to the dome light is if you ever turn it "off" then your alarm is going to go off when the door is open.

There are wires that enter the vehicle from the door jams. They are usually with a few other various modules to the left of your feet when your sitting in the car. Just remove the plastic shroud and sometimes the plastic runner beside the seat. the 2 pieces usually have to both be removed. If you lift the carpet under there you'll find a bundle of wires wrapped up. The door trigger wires are usually found it that bundle somewhere. They may also be in one of the connectors coming from the modules in that area. Make certain you use a meter or test light to verify the correct wires BEFORE you hook them up. Don't just assume that because the color matches the one on your chart that it is correct.
Good Luck, Steve
