I have tryed to get the resistance by doing what the instructions said. Starting the car and cuting the data wire (yellow) and testing between the key side and the black wire, but I can not get a reading? The instructions and wiring diagrams for these things leave a lot to be desired. can anyone help. everything works fine except the car will not start by the remot becouse of the resistance thing.

When you test, are you set on ohm readings, also how high of a resistance does your meter read. some meters only read to a certain point and this makes it same as if there is no reading at all. if all of those things are ok, you should be getting a reading.

I have 6 diffrent settings on my meter, I can get a reading if I go to ground but not the wire. I tryed with a old sweep multi meter and it worked but it is hard to get an acuret reading. When I go to ground I come up with 1700 oms.
