I am a 05 mazda tribute that I am installing my first compustar. I have mainly only installed DEI products in the past. Does the blk status output wire connect to the PASS key mod or does the Ignition output wire? Also is the ACC output wire go to defrost for example... Just curious because by the looks of it the module. Looks like it already has a builtin 2nd acc, ign or starter  relay pack. Thanks you GURUs

"blk status output wire"

This is the gound out when running. It will have gound during remote start and off when the remote starter is deactivated. Use this for your bypass module. Yes, it's got a "builtin 2nd acc, ign or starter relay pack". Just make sure you set the jumper correctly to the type of car that require it.

As for your "05 mazda tribute" you will not require do use it.

I installed everything and but it seems like the remotes are not talking to the brain mod. Is there a way os testing it. I was able to get the one chirp when programming the tach wire. I rechecked all the connections but still not communicating. The alarm is a  compustar Artic Start RT3000 with a 2wssr remotes. Are these the correct remotes for this unit?

Did you program the remote to the CPU ? Toggle the ignition switch ON-OFF 5 times , the lights will flash at you once, within 3 seconds press button # 1 on the 2 way remote and then press the LOCK button on the one way remote control. Once this is done, the lights will flash 2 times to confirm that the remote controls were learned.

I did the following process with the door open and with it closed but I recieved no parking light flash. I verified the parking lights were connected to brown wire. Also made sure the ign wire was connected to lt.grn/purple. While programming I used a multimeter to the parking light pin of the alarm and received no output.

You have to have the antenna attached as well. The remote controls will not learn without the antenna plugged in. Also, you have to toggle the ignition switch within 3 seconds 5 times.

The antenna is fully connected. I waited the appropriate time during ign.

Try programming just the one way remote first to see if you get a response from the system. Aside from this, where did you get the 12 volt constant from ?

Just tried it again with the other remote still no output. I have the 12v constant to a 16 gauge fused wire I got run directly to the posts on the fuse box. The multimeter reading has it for 12v. Question for you does the door have to be open or closed when programming. I have tried both but not too keen on the wire I have for the door pin. It is the correct one but I have 3 wires going to the pink wire in the DKP(1.violet wire..domelight, 2. RED / white -door sensing, and violet/blk for -trunk sensing) Do I need to diode isolate the wires. Also do I need to put a relay on the domelight and the door locks. So many questions I appreciate your help.

I answered another post of yours about the Tribute, just make sure that the antenna is a 2 WFM antenna. Post your results and I'll answer the questions above in the next post.

When programming the remote for the Compustar, it doesn't matter wether or not if the doors, trunk or hood is open or shut. Regardless, all you need for the programming for the remote controls is the main harness & the antenna plugged in. As far as the door trigger's, you'll need to diode isolate the wires or you will get false alarms. The domelight you need to put a relay on it because the dome light wire is only a low current trigger wire. The door locks I would use relays for both lock and unlock to ensure a proper ground for unlock and use a resistor for the lock wire ( 1k ohm ).

Just curious on how the brain could sense the IGN when there is no ign input on the module. I know that the DEI products did. I know what you are going to say, I should have gone with a DEI. Just pondering that questions.

I figured out what I was doing wrong. The battery has to be out of the 2way for programming. Also the whole process cannot take longer than 10 seconds. I was not turning the ignition over fast enough and did not have the battery out. The alarm works great and thanks for all your help. Next step is installing the door priority unlock. Once again thanks for all your help and suggestions.

No problemo..... it seems that many installer's have the same problem wit the programming. The toggle of the IGN had to be done fast and furious posted_image in order for the learning of remote control to take.

what do you mean the battery has to be out of the 2 way?

Yes according to the 2wss remote you must remove the AA battery while you are cycling 5 times. The biggest mistake I also made was that you have to program both remotes at the same time and within 10 sec. I alos must thank everyone especially Velocity Motors for being patient and helping me with this. You guys are great and definetly deserving of a donation.

here is the link to the 2WSS remote Thanks to several other posts:
