Hello all! I'm planning on installing a Remote Start/Alarm System combo very soon, and was wondering if you guys could recommend a quality brand name/model for me? I've tried looking for reviews, they seems few and far between.. The vehicle is a 2000 Chevy Silverado, and I'm looking for a 2-Way Paging System for it.. I appreciate any info you guys could offer :)

Oh also, the system I've been heavily considering is a Directed Electronics VIPER 2-Way Remote/Alarm system.. The place thats offering it wants $650.00 CAD (about 520 USD) for just the system.. and $150.00 for install. They are known for ripping people off with prices, and also have rumors of their employees programming extra remotes to steal audio systems at a later date! So I was planning on picking up the system and installing myself.
Thanks again guys!

I have, and hav einstalled many of dei's viper 791 xv alamrs.  i love them and wouldnt use anything else.  that price is bad  though,  in louisiana they go for around 550 installed.  if you can get one cheaper or want to pay the high price, the 791 xv is the way to go.

I installed Megatronix M3700 and it seem like a good alarm to me .. a 2 way lcd remotestart/alarm system ..

What I like about it is the 4 aux channels . I used it all up too hehe ..  1 trunk and 1 front windows roll down and 1 rear windows roll down and last aux channel  for all windows roll up  ..

It was like 178 dollar or so if I recall correctly for the system .. not many system at that price range with 4 aux channels IMO ..
