hello, i just finished installing a remote start system (as-1414) into a 2003 honda accord, when the doors aint locked and alarm aint set the remote starter works fine, when the alarm is set it sets the alarm off 1 out of 4 times. i looked in the door  for the wires which my paper said (WHITE/ red (arm) white (disarm)  but i could not find those wires inthe door. anyone have any other answers or helpful tips so i don't have to tell the customer to unlock her doors befor she uses the remote starter 8D

You have to remove the door panel and the door module is located on the control harness where the window plug is located.

You will need to drill on the top on the harness inside the door to be able to get the wire though the door.   Make sure you are sure of the placement before you start drilling.

Or you can order the HODL2 from www.bypasskit.com and have it control lock, arm, unlock, disarm, trunk release, hood pin and door trigger all by connecting to one wire at the fuse box in the drivers kick. Every 03+ Accord EX I do gets a HODL2 and a PKH3 (transponder bypass). Running wires into the door is a pain in the butt on that car.

JWorn is right that you can get the HODL2...but on couple of time I had to still go into the door.

if it was my own shop or a deicent shop it would get the hodl2, but the owner's to cheap to do things properly,  but i guess i can't complain to much...it's a paycheck till i find something better posted_image
