Hopefully someone can pull an idea out of the air, and it will work.

I installed a 550esp (remote start) in my car, and it worked just fine.  I had the remote starter, keyless entry, domelight supervision.....all worked fine.

Then I installed a 530t (window module).  Now, somehow, the ignition going to the alarm cuts in and out.  This leads to the doors unlocking/locking and the domelight turning on/off when it happens.  I turned off the ignition controlled locks, but it still trips the domelight.

I can't figure this out.  I removed the 530t, and it still happens (so I put it back in).  For the meantime, i have the IGN controlled locks off.  I tested for continuity in the relay satellite, and everything seemed ok.  One thing that I'm not sure about, though.  With the IGN in the II position (so there was power in the ignition wire), I tested the IGNITION 1 wire from the fuse panel, to where the pink wire of the alarm goes into the relay satellite.  It "beeped" for continuity, but not continuous.  It would only beep for a 1/2 second, and stop.  The second IGN wire, on the other hand, would continuously beep.  When I turned the key off, though, they both continually beeped.  Is this a problem?....or is there a difference when the car is off/on?

This is the only real thing I could find.  I even replace the relay in the satellite, and it still does it (not as much, though).  Even the valet switch acts funny, and I guess it's still related to the finicky ignition....since it needs the PINK wire to be connected.  (EDIT:  One thing that I actually noticed happening was that when I installed the power wire from the 530t to the car's wire, I must have hit ground by mistake, because I got a HUGE spark.  I don't notice anything acting different, and the fuses are all ok....but could this have messed up something?)

ANY ideas would be great....this is driving me nuts!!!  posted_image

Check your wiring for the starter-kill again.  When you tapped the Orange "output-when-armed" wire, did you put in a diode like the owner's manual told you to?  If not, you could have possibly damaged the starter-kill relay or the alarm brain itself.  The diode is there to basically keep voltage from the 530t from leaking back into the starter-kill relay and wiring.

If you've lost the installation guide, go to https://www.directed.com/ and then click on "guides", then "installation".  Find the "Viper" drop down box and choose the 550 ESP.  You can then download the guide from there (or view it with the Adobe Acrobat Reader plugin for your browser).

Yea, I have a diode there just like the manual says....

I don't think I used the 1N4004, though....I can't quite remember, but I'm pretty sure it was only one number off.  Could that really be the problem? (not using the exact right number?)
